Abilene High Theatre Directors
Kyle Martin has been teaching theatre in Texas since 2003 and has been the head director at Abilene High School since 2017. He holds a B.F.A. in acting and directing from Abilene Christian University and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Mr. Martin began his teaching career in the Houston area before joining Abilene ISD in 2011, serving as an Assistant Director at Cooper High School for 5 years. Mr. Martin is married to Amanda Martin, a teacher at Bonham Elementary and has two daughters, both of whom attend Abilene ISD schools.

Nicole Evans is excited to be the Assistant Theatre Director at Abilene High School! She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Education from Abilene Christian University. Mrs. Evans began her teaching career in Mesquite ISD before joining Abilene ISD, where she spent five years directing theatre at Mann Middle School. She is married to fellow ACU theatre graduate, Caleb Evans, and they share their home with their dog, Marlowe.
